ANZACC Cricket Vs. British Officers Cricket Club

Late this Summer Team ANZACC matched up against the BOCC.

We batted first and after an initial flurry of runs were summarily dismissed by the more established bowling line up of BOCC. Salger, Duncan, Kavanagh, Love, Lochhead and Flemming (basically everyone except me (Captain Tingate)) showed great promise with the bat and each made important contributions to the score. However, after failing to see out the required number of overs, BOCC quickly chased down the required target of 74 when it was their turn to bat. Our bowling attack (or lack thereof) was then unable to stem the flow of runs from the BOCC bats and in the end, we were simply unable to prevent and early conclusion to the day’s cricketing festivities.

Nonetheless, a good day was enjoyed by all.
