ANZACC Cricket Team draws parallels to Aussie one day team in friendly Vs. Merion

On Sunday, April 10th, with the early exit of the Aussie team from the recent Cricket World Cup still firmly etched in their minds, a ragtag group Aussies + friends of Aussies assembled for the second annual ANZACC Vs. Merion cricket match.

As details of the match only get better when shared over a cold beverage I’ll refrain from breaking it down bowl by bowl, but in the end the host team was the victor scoring the required 147 with less then two overs to spare. A great time was had by all, book-ended by  a champagne toast + coin flip and post game beers on the field.

Thank you very much to our hosts, Merion Cricket Club, for providing world class facilities and terrific hospitality.

Training for a couple of other games later this year will be taking place soon, all are welcome, please email admin to be added to the cricket team mailing list.
